CellProfiler is an open-source bioimage analysis software maintained by the Cimini lab at the Broad Institute in Massachusetts, USA.
This workshop is designed for light microscopy image analysis enthusiasts across Latin America. The workshop aims to provide a practical and guided introductory training on how to use CellProfiler for analyzing and quantifying biological images.
The workshop will be held on April 8, 2024 from 14 pm to 17 pm GMT -3. Attendees will learn the fundamentals of CellProfiler through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises. This includes:
- Navigating the user interface
- Importing and pre-processing images
- Applying image analysis algorithms, and
- Generating quantitative measurements.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have the necessary skills to apply CellProfiler to their own research projects.
IMPORTANT NOTE: although the starting lecture will be given in English to accommodate all participants, the hands-on part of the workshop will be held in small breakout rooms in either SPANISH or PORTUGUESE with native-speaking TAs.
The workshop also offers networking opportunities for participants to connect with other researchers in the field, share experiences, and collaborate on future projects.
