The Elements of Bio-Mining consortium, centred in Ontario, Canada, are looking to appoint a post-doctoral researcher to carry out research into bioleaching pyrrhotite waste with the objective of extracting and recovering nickel and generating a more secure and inert secondary waste. The person appointed should have a PhD in biohydrometallurgy or applied microbiology, and preferably some research experience in mineral bio-processing.
